Vent: I thought the local guy in Tulsa was just selling snake oil with his 'magnetic bore cleaner'

He swore it pulled out micro metal shavings my patches missed, and I laughed until I tried it on my old .308. The magnet tip came out looking like a fuzzy gray caterpillar after three passes. Has anyone else actually given one of these a real test on a worn barrel?

Which video are you talking about? There are a bunch of guys doing that kind of test lately. Was it on a really old rifle, like a Mosin or something? I need to know the specific setup to understand the results. A lot of those old guns have worn parts that can change how things work.
