Pro tip: I tried both the 'dry cut' and wet cut methods on thick hair, and one is just better

Ever think about how much product build-up can mess with a dry cut's accuracy? Like, if there's any old leave-in or oil, your dry sections aren't showing the true hair weight at all. That might explain some of the spring-back.

Been using the wrong size feeler gauge on door gap checks for months

Man I was in the same boat for a while. I used to grab whatever gauge was closest in my bag, but getting called out on a job site for using a 0.035 on a standard passenger door was a real wake up call. Now my go-to is a 0.025 for the side gaps, it just seems to hit right for most of the common cabs I work on. I keep a 0.040 in a totally different pocket so I don't mix them up again. That little bit of difference really throws everything off if you use the wrong one.

A client in Boise asked me to fix a home haircut his wife tried with kitchen scissors.

That Wahl Senior is a lifesaver for blending jobs like that. I always tell people we see it all the time and it's an easy fix, which usually puts them at ease. Getting a good result without making them feel bad is half the battle.

My dad said to always pack a small roll of duct tape and I finally get it

Yeah the "wrap some around a pencil" trick is a game changer, makes it so easy to pack. I read a blog once where a guy swore by a few safety pins and a tiny bit of paracord, said he fixed luggage and made a clothesline with it.

People keep calling the new Spider-Man run 'too political' and I think they missed the point

Isn't it weird how people forget the basics of a character? You see it everywhere, not just with Spider-Man. Like michael_jenkins39 said, his neighborhood is the whole point. It's the same when people get mad about a hero helping with small stuff instead of just big fights. They miss that helping the little guy is what makes them a hero in the first place. It's a bigger problem of ignoring the simple, human parts of stories. Makes the whole thing feel empty.
