Can we talk about how some color palettes just don't work on screens?
I was putting together a digital ad and the colors looked perfect in my software but washed out on phones. After testing, I found that boosting saturation a bit and avoiding certain light blues fixed it. Now I always check my designs on a couple devices before calling them done.

Actually found the opposite problem last week. Went too saturated trying to fix that washed out look and it just looked cheap on good displays. Still test on multiple screens but now I tweak brightness more than saturation.

I ended up focusing on contrast too! It kept the colors rich without going overboard on saturation. My designs look much more consistent across devices now.

But what if relying on contrast just hides the need for truly vibrant colors? I've had projects where too much contrast made everything look gray and washed out on phones... it was like the life got sucked out. Pushing the color strength a little more can actually help things feel fresh and modern. Sure, you might get some variation across screens, but that's better than a design that feels safe and forgettable. Maybe we're so scared of bad displays that we miss the chance to make something that really stands out. It feels like contrast is a quick fix, but real color work takes more guts.
