I finally fixed up my blowing area and remembered the cramped corners we started in

Spreading out now lets me think bigger with my glass shapes.

Yeah that "think bigger with shapes" part really hits home... when you're not fighting for elbow room every idea starts to feel possible. It goes past just making the same thing but larger... you start seeing how a curve could flow different if it had more space to breathe, or how a vase shape could twist in a way that was just impossible on a smaller bench. The physical room lets your brain have room too. Funny how the cramped corners we learn in kind of shape our style forever, even after we spread out.

Honestly, that bit about physical room letting your brain have room is spot on. Tbh, I finally got a bigger shop and my first project was supposed to be this grand, sweeping shape. Ngl, I completely botched it because my muscles were still stuck in tiny mode. I actually made a vase that looked like it was still squeezed into my old closet. It's like my creativity needed permission to spread out, but my hands didn't get the memo. Kind of embarrassing how deep those old cramped habits go.

Shaped our style forever" feels like a stretch. You guys are talking like moving to a bigger shop rewires your whole brain. It's just muscle memory from working in a tight space for a long time, not some deep artistic curse. @brianhill makes it sound so poetic but honestly you just need to practice the big motions a few times. Your hands will catch up to the new room without all this drama about your creativity being held back. It's a workspace, not a therapy session.
