Heads up about the community studio's new annealing oven
I used the new oven at our local glassblowing spot yesterday and it messed up my piece! The temp read normal but it was actually way too hot inside. My bowl came out with stress cracks all over after cooling. The manager said they'll look into it but for now, maybe bring your own thermometer. Just wanted to share so no one else loses their work!

I tried that oven on Tuesday and my vase ended up with more cracks than a dry lakebed... I was ready to blame my own clumsy hands for the disaster. Now I'm thinking the oven might deserve some of the credit for my artistic failures.
