Vent: A stranger at the grocery store in Boise told me I was holding my baby wrong.

I was just trying to get some milk, and this older lady came up and said 'honey, you're gonna give that child a crick in his neck' which made me feel awful, but my sister later said unsolicited advice from strangers is just part of being a parent in public, so what do you think, is it okay to correct someone's parenting in a store or should people just keep it to themselves?

Ugh, that's the worst. Your sister's right, it's basically a public initiation ritual at this point. I got told my kid's socks were too thin in a Target once, like I was personally conducting a frostbite experiment. Unless a kid is in clear, immediate danger, just keep your weird little observations to yourself.

Got a lecture once for letting my toddler walk on a hot pool deck. Lady acted like I was frying an egg on his feet. My bad, guess I forgot the tiny fireman boots at home. Honestly think some people just need to feel useful for five minutes.
