Remembering when my dad would walk to the store with a canvas bag every Saturday

Now I do the same, and it reminds me of him every time.

Take a different bag now. The habit stuck but the memory faded.

Yeah, that hits home. My dad's old canvas bag finally wore through last year, threads coming loose on the handle, and getting a new one felt weird but the ritual is what matters. Even if @kaih94 says the memory fades, for me the habit is the memory, you know? Carrying my groceries home that way every week still feels like a quiet nod to him.
