Update: I tried sending invoices on the 1st and 15th instead of at the end of a job
I started doing this about three months ago after a big project got delayed and left me short. I'd just send an invoice for half the total upfront and the rest at the project's midpoint. Last week, a client took two full weeks to pay the second half, but I wasn't stressed because I'd already gotten the first payment. It really smoothed out my cash flow. Has anyone else tried a set schedule like this, or do you have a different trick?

Two weeks late doesn't sound like a crisis.

Ugh, right? It's wild how we've all gotten used to things just... taking forever now. Feels like the new normal for any service or delivery.

It's honestly gotten so bad that I just expect delays for everything now!
