Just noticed a pattern with the old stone walls in my neighborhood
I was walking my dog past the old Johnson property on Maple and counted seven different types of rock in just one section of wall, which made me wonder how many hands it took to build it all.

Seven types of rock doesn't mean many builders. Could've been one stubborn person with a cart, collecting whatever was lying in nearby fields over a long summer. Those old farm walls were often just a way to clear stones off the land to make planting easier.

Picture that one neighbor with the weird yard art, but in the 1800s. Honestly, I'm just imagining some guy getting more and more mad at rocks, making a hundred trips with his stupid cart. Tbh, the wall was probably his way of getting back at the ground for hurting his plow.

Totally! That farmer must have been so done with rocks ruining his day. He probably just kept stacking them out of pure spite after every broken plow blade. Honestly, it's the original form of passive-aggressive landscaping.
