Found a box of old glass bottle stoppers at a flea market in Lancaster

I was at the big flea market in Lancaster last weekend and saw a whole box of glass bottle stoppers for five dollars. They were the kind with the wire bail and rubber seal, the sort you see on old soda bottles. The guy selling them said they were from a local dairy that closed in the 1980s. It made me think about how people used to collect and reuse these things, but you never see that hobby now. Has anyone here tried collecting or restoring old bottle closures?

Right? I almost bought three boxes before remembering I hate raisins.

Read an article a while back about a guy who collects nothing but old bottle caps and stoppers. He had them all sorted by color and maker in these big glass jars. Said the glass ones are getting harder to find because the rubber seals dry out and crack. Makes you wonder how many of those old dairies just threw everything away. That was a solid find for five bucks.
