Caught a hilarious flooring fail on my street this morning
Ngl, I was walking my dog and saw a DIYer struggling with vinyl plank in his garage. He had boards going in three different directions because he skipped the layout step. It was a mess but gave me a chuckle.

Hold on, you can't just drop that without explaining. What exactly do you mean by three ways? Like three different patterns in one room, or three types of plank from different boxes? I've seen jobs go bad when the planks don't match up right. Tell me how you pulled it off without it looking like a patchwork mess.

My buddy tried to install vinyl plank in his basement last summer. He was in a hurry and skipped the layout step completely. Ended up with sections running north-south, east-west, and even diagonal in one corner. It was a visual nightmare, like a puzzle put together wrong. He had to rip it all up and start over after watching a few youtube videos. Cost him extra time and money, but he learned his lesson.
