Hot take: those cheap socket sets from Harbor Freight are actually fine for home use

I bought a $20 set 4 years ago expecting to replace it in 6 months, but I've abused those sockets with a breaker bar and only snapped one. Has anyone else found a budget tool that just refuses to die?

Same thing happened to me with a Pittsburgh set I got on sale for like $15. That little 3/8 ratchet has been through hell on rusty suspension bolts and it still clicks like new. I actually broke a Craftsman socket before I broke one of those cheap ones, go figure. Got any beaters in your toolbox that just won't quit?

Same cheap Pittsburgh set here, that little ratchet just won't die.

Same here, got a cheap Pittsburgh set years ago and that little ratchet just keeps going no matter what I throw at it. My name brand sockets have chipped but those Pittsburgh sockets are still holding up fine.
