Just read that a single runway show in Milan can use over 500 meters of fabric

I was going down a rabbit hole on a fashion history blog last night (Fashionista Files, I think it was called) and they broke down the material costs for a major designer's show. It blew my mind that one 15-minute presentation can literally use enough fabric to stretch over five football fields. It really makes you think about the scale of waste if those pieces never get produced. Has anyone here ever tried to design a full collection with a strict, like, 100-meter total fabric limit?

My friend's collection used only 80 meters (it was wild).

Try mixing fabrics you already have first.

Wow, that's wild. I always thought it was just about the clothes, not the sheer amount of stuff used.
