Client told me my extractions felt 'too aggressive' - took me a minute to listen

Had this lady in her 50s come in last Tuesday. Said my extractions made her skin feel raw for days. I was using my ring fingers with a lot of pressure, thinking that's how you get deep stuff out. She was right though. Switched to using just the pads of my index fingers and less pressure. Way less redness after. Anyone else have a client call them out on something that actually made sense?

Oh man, I gotta jump in here. You said you were using your ring fingers with pressure, and then switched to index finger pads. That's actually backwards from what I've seen work best. Ring fingers are weaker, so they're safer for sensitive areas, while index fingers can be too much if you're not careful. I think you might be mixing up which fingers are good for what. For extractions, I always use my ring fingers to keep pressure even and gentle, then use a tissue or cotton round to help with sliding instead of digging in. It's a small thing but it makes a big difference in redness and client feedback.

Using a tissue or cotton round to help with sliding instead of digging in" - that's brilliant, never thought of that. @xenaf51 you just changed how I'm going to do my next facial.

Wait @xenaf51 are you saying ring fingers actually dig in less than index fingers?
