Tried reflowing a GPU with a heat gun instead of an oven
I had this old Radeon card that kept artifacting, so I figured I'd try the heat gun method everyone swears by instead of my usual oven trick. Set it to 350°F and hit it for about 4 minutes, but now the thing won't even power up at all - just dead. Anybody else have a heat gun reflow go completely sideways on them?

350 degrees with a heat gun? That's a bold move. RIP that card.

Wait, you went straight to 350 degrees with a heat gun? That's wild, those things can easily overshoot and cook the board if you're not careful. I've seen people kill cards instantly by getting too aggressive with the hot air instead of using a controlled oven bake. Did you at least check if you accidentally melted any of the plastic connectors or caps around the GPU core?

Oh for SURE, I learned that lesson the HARD way on an old 960, melted a cap clean off.
