Thought I'd save $50 fixing my own LCD TV, ended up cracking the panel instead
Bought a replacement LED strip kit on Amazon for $20, but I didn't realize how fragile the screen was and put my finger right through it. Anyone else get burned trying to DIY a repair that was way above their skill level?

Honestly I learned that lesson the hard way with my PS4. Tried to swap the thermal paste and stripped a screw so bad the whole console was toast. What really gets me is these repair kits online make it look way too easy with their edited videos. They dont show you the part where you breathe wrong and snap a ribbon cable.
