I've been stripping wire with my lineman's pliers for 10 years...

A new apprentice in our Cincinnati shop saw me doing it last week and said, "You know those have a stripping hole, right?" I looked down and realized I'd never noticed the little notch near the hinge... I've just been pinching and pulling this whole time. How many other obvious tool features have you guys missed for years?

Tell me you've never sharpened the blades on those same pliers either. That little screw adjusts the cutting edge, blew my mind when I found it.

Tbh I've been using those things for years and just assumed they got dull forever. Ngl finding that screw felt like discovering a secret level in a video game. My whole life has been a lie.

Oh man, that's rough. I did the exact same thing with my first pair for like two years. Felt so dumb when I finally saw it.
