Pro tip: Check inside couch cushions before you trash a sofa
I spotted a beat-up couch on the curb last month and almost walked past it. Out of habit I felt inside the cushions and found $43 in crumpled bills and some loose change. Ever since that day I always give furniture a full pat-down before hauling it off. Anyone else ever find cash or random stuff hidden in curbside furniture?

Whoa, $43? That's insane, I'm lucky if I find a single quarter in mine. I always just assumed people would have already picked that stuff clean.

Whoa, that's a great point actually. I wonder how many people just assume nobody else would leave cash in a cushion vs. people honestly forgetting it's there. Do you think folks are more likely to stash emergency money in furniture and then lose track of it over time?
