Heads up: that fancy dumpling place on Elm Street changed owners and it's not the same

I went to Xiao Chi Jie on Elm Street every month for like 3 years and their soup dumplings were my go-to. Last Thursday I stopped in and the filling was dry and the wrapper was thick and doughy, not thin like before. I asked the cashier and she said new management took over about 6 weeks ago and they changed the recipe supplier. Has anyone else noticed a drop in quality there or found a new spot that still does them right?

Went there last week and it was totally disappointing (sad face).

Totally disappointing" yeah that sums it up. I think a lot of the issues come from them rushing to open before they were ready to handle the crowds.
