Pulled a half-eaten sandwich out of my hoodie pocket mid-cycle

Was doing laundry at my apartment complex last night and heard this weird thumping in the dryer, opened it up and found a soggy turkey and cheese sub I forgot from three days ago lol. Had to rewash everything twice to get the mayo smell out, anyone else find food in their laundry?

The petrified french fry really got me. I had a similar situation with a bag of half eaten trail mix that turned into basically laundry glitter. The worst part was finding a raisin stuck to the inside of the dryer vent weeks later. Alicehernandez that vinegar soak tip is solid, I used it once after a chapstick incident and it actually worked better than anything else I tried.

Three goldfish crackers and a petrified french fry came out of my jacket pocket last week, I feel your pain. The worst part is always that greasy stain that somehow spreads to everything else in the load, even when you think you checked all the pockets. Had to do a vinegar soak on my favorite hoodie after a melted granola bar incident, the smell still haunts me sometimes.
