That 10-inch taping knife I bought on a whim for a Reno job is now my go-to for inside corners.
I figured it was just a gimmick, but the extra width gives you a cleaner line with less feathering (you know, way less sanding). Anyone else find a tool they doubted that became a workhorse?

Ever try a paint edger? I mean, I thought it was a total cheat, but man it saves so much time on trim.

You mentioning the paint edger being a cheat is exactly how I felt about my speed square. I always just used a framing square for everything. But that little triangle is so much faster for marking cuts, and it's dead on every time. Why did I wait so long to use the right tool for the job? It just seemed too simple to be good. Now I feel a bit silly for all the time I wasted.
