Hit 500,000 square feet of tape and mud last week without even noticing
I was going through my job logs the other day, just out of curiosity, and added up all the footage I've done since I started tracking it back in 2019. Came out to 502,340 square feet as of last Thursday. That number kind of hit me in a weird way. I remember my first real job in a basement in Akron, where I could barely keep a straight line on the corners. Now I'm doing warehouses and custom homes without even thinking about it. The funny thing is, I didn't realize I crossed that half-million mark until way after. It's just work, you know? Day in, day out, same routine. But seeing that number on paper made me think about all the dusty days, the bad batches of compound, and the customers who watched me like I was a magician. Has anyone else ever added up their lifetime footage just to see where you're at?

My first job was a tiny bathroom where I used more mud cleaning up my mess than I did actually taping. Half a million feet is wild, I bet your back feels like it too.

Why would you want to know that number though? Seems like it just adds pressure to hit the next milestone instead of focusing on the job in front of you.
