Had a week last June where nothing went right with the cutterhead
I was working a tight spot near a bridge footing and the cutterhead kept snagging on old rebar. Monday I snapped two teeth off and had to weld new ones on in 95 degree heat. Wednesday the hydraulic line blew right at the swivel joint and sprayed oil everywhere. By Friday I had to call the super and tell him we were a full day behind schedule. Anyone else ever get a week where you just can't catch a break on one specific job site?

It's like when everything decides to break at once isn't it? That week sounds brutal, especially with the heat on top of all the hydraulics acting up. I swear it's the same pattern you see in everyday stuff too like when your car's check engine light comes on right before a road trip or the dishwasher gives out at Thanksgiving. The universe just loves to pile problems together in one big messy heap. It's almost like how if you spill coffee on your shirt you know the rest of your day is gonna follow that same vibe lol. But honestly it makes you appreciate the smooth weeks way more when they finally show up.

Five breakdowns in one day is a new record... even for me.
