Update: I just finished my 1,000th drawing file this morning.
I always thought that number was just a vanity metric, but seeing it in the project log made me realize how many different systems and details I've actually drawn. It changed my mind about tracking that stuff. What's a work milestone that ended up meaning more to you than you thought it would?

It's funny how a simple number can make all that invisible work suddenly real. We track stuff without seeing the story behind it until later. The count itself is just a placeholder for all the effort you forgot about.

Damn, that's a solid point. But what happens when the number is wrong or just feels off? Like you know you put in way more work than the count shows. Does that make the effort less real, or does it just mean our way of tracking is broken?

That "placeholder for effort you forgot about" thing hits hard. Reminds me of when I finally cleaned out my garage and the bag count was way lower than the hours spent, felt like the math was lying.
