Crossed 200 hours on a single framing project, still can't decide if that's good or bad
Took on a full basement remodel in Columbus back in March. Two buddies and I figured it'd be a 2 month gig. It's now August and I just clocked hour 207 on my time tracker. We keep finding stuff behind the drywall nobody planned for. Rotting joists, a mystery pipe reroute, and three studs that weren't even close to level. Some days I feel great because the layout is solid and the electric is done. Other days I wonder if we should've hired a pro crew instead. My buddy says slow means careful, but my other friend says we're just overthinking every cut. Is there a point where you call it and accept the project just eats your life? Has anyone else tracked their hours on a big DIY job and gotten a number that made them question everything?
