Got stuck in a Chiang Mai cafe for 8 hours during a power cut and it changed my work setup

My main laptop died after two hours, so I had to finish a client project on my phone using a hotspot. That day made me realize I was too tied to one big machine. Do you think it's smarter to build a full mobile office or just keep things simple with a single good laptop?

Been there. My tablet saved me during a long airport delay once. I keep a cheap bluetooth keyboard in my bag now. It lets me work from my phone or tablet if my laptop dies. For me, having that simple backup plan is better than trying to build a whole second office setup.

Eight hours on a phone hotspot? My battery would have given up after maybe one.

Remember when power banks were the size of a brick? I had one that could charge my old phone maybe one and a half times, but it weighed down my whole bag. Felt like carrying a spare battery for a car.
