Went to the new digital art exhibit in Seattle and saw something wild

They had this huge interactive projection wall, and I watched a kid accidentally trigger a glitch that turned a serene forest scene into a pixelated rainbow explosion for like five minutes. The artist, a guy named Leo Chen, was actually there and just laughed, saying it was a hidden feature. Has anyone else run into unexpected 'features' in interactive art pieces?

So what's the difference between a real hidden feature and a planned gimmick? If it was a gimmick, they'd have leaked it on purpose to build hype. But if it was actually buried in the code and found by accident, that's different. Need to see how it actually got found.
