Vent: Dropped $300 on a Procreate alternative and it glitched on my first painting
I was skeptical about leaving Procreate but this new app had all these features I wanted for comic art in Chicago; six hours in it crashed and wiped a whole layer set. Anyone else stick with a tool even when it frustrates you because the switch feels riskier?

Man, that's infuriating. Six hours of work gone like that? I'd be seeing red. So here's the thing - did you check if the app has a local autosave folder on your iPad storage? Some of these newer drawing apps save recovery files in a hidden directory that don't show up in the usual gallery. @miles_roberts might have a point about digging around in weird spots. I tried switching to Clip Studio once and lost a week of linework, I feel your pain on the risk factor.

See if they have a backup file hidden in your cloud storage folder.

Man I once found a whole folder of tax documents labeled "totally not taxes" on a shared drive, weird stuff.
