Old timer told me to never trust a reman injector out of the box and I ignored him
Threw a set of six reman injectors into a 6.0 Powerstroke last Tuesday and by Wednesday three of them were stuck open, costing me 8 hours of labor to redo the job with OEM parts, so has anyone else had a bad batch from a rebuilder lately?

Oh man, that's a rough lesson (and an expensive one, too). I've been burned the same way with reman injectors on a 7.3, had two dead out of the box and just couldn't believe it. The rebuilder swore they were flow-matched and tested, but they clearly skipped a step. I don't think it's always the rebuilder's fault though, sometimes the core they start with is just too beat up to salvage. But still, that 8 hour redo would have me pulling my hair out, totally feel for you.

Gotta say though, those stuck open injectors aren't usually a reman problem specifically, it's more about the tuning on the 6.0. If the FICM voltage is low or the ICP is off by just a hair, even brand new OEM injectors can hang open for a second and smoke a piston. I ran into the same panic last year with a set of Alliant remans, swapped the FICM out and they ran fine. Not saying you didn't get a bad batch, just that the 6.0 is real touchy about what tells those injectors to snap closed.
