that moment I tried to impress my date" - oh man, I know that feeling too well. I once tried to make a fancy three-layer cake for a guy I really liked and ended up with frosting smeared across my glasses and a kitchen that looked like a flour bomb went off. He still laughed about it and we ended up ordering pizza instead, so sometimes it's better to just keep it simple.
