Why does nobody warn about left lane exit regulars on the 405
I drive the 405 through Orange County every morning and I keep seeing the same scary thing. People camp in the far left lane for miles, then suddenly they need to exit left at MacArthur or Bristol and they cut across three lanes of traffic at 70 mph. Last Tuesday a minivan almost clipped my front bumper doing that, driver never even looked over. I started tracking it and in one week I counted 9 near misses with these left exit chasers. It matters because half these exits have no advance warning signs until like half a mile out, so everyone scrambles at the last second. I know because I used to do it too until a coworker pointed out I was the problem, not the traffic. Has anyone else noticed this pattern building near John Wayne Airport or am I just unlucky?
