Rant: The coffee shop downtown had their wifi password on a sticky note under the counter

I was at Brew & Bean on Main Street yesterday, and when I went to pay, I saw it. The staff wifi password was written on a neon green sticky note and stuck right under the register, in plain view for any customer leaning over. It wasn't just the guest wifi, it was their main network for the point-of-sale system. In my experience, that's asking for trouble, because someone could just hop on and poke around. I mentioned it nicely to the barista, saying a guest network for customers might be safer, but she just shrugged. It made me think about how many small businesses might do this without a second thought. Has anyone else tried to gently point out a simple security risk like this in public?

Wow, that sticky note is basically a welcome mat for digital troublemakers.

Yikes, I've actually had to fix that exact thing at my old job.
