Hot take: password managers are not the magic fix everyone says they are
I read a report from Google that said 75% of people reuse passwords, and I used to think a password manager was the easy answer. But then I saw a stat from the FBI about credential stuffing attacks jumping 30% in 2023, and most of those hit people who had a manager. So now I wonder if we should be pushing passkeys or hardware keys way harder instead. Anyone else feel like the advice we keep hearing is stuck in 2015?
