Stumbled on a phishing stat that surprised me at 3am this week
I was reading through the Verizon DBIR report for 2024 and found out that 36% of all data breaches involve phishing. That number caught me off guard because I always thought ransomware or misconfigurations would be higher for B2B marketing. It makes me wonder how many of our leads are actually training their employees on this stuff, or just buying tools and hoping for the best. Is anyone else seeing a gap between what companies say they do for security awareness and what actually happens?

Companies think buying a firewall counts as employee training.

Ugh @the_tessa nailed it though. That's exactly where the disconnect is. Like yeah tools help but if nobody knows how to spot a fake email it doesn't matter.
