Seeing a funny cybersecurity ad changed my view on marketing tone

I came across a video ad that used jokes to talk about phishing scams. Most folks in our field say you need to be stern to show you mean business. But this ad got people talking and sharing, which our scary ads never do. I think being a bit playful can actually help reach more people. Why are we so stuck on being serious all the time?

What specific joke in the ad made the phishing warning click for you? I always zone out during those stern lectures, but a funny twist might actually make me remember to check the sender's email address. Do you think the playful tone helped people see the scam tactics as something they could spot in their own inbox? It feels like scary ads just make everyone anxious and less likely to engage.
