Serious question, ever misread a prompt and ended up with a keeper?

I was trying a prompt about a spaceship crash, but my brain saw 'spaceship craft' and I wrote about knitting in zero gravity... it turned into this weirdly heartfelt thing my friends really liked. Felt good to salvage something from my own confusion. Has a simple mistake ever sparked a story you're actually proud of?

Wow, my clumsy typing turned 'pirate' into 'pirouette' once. That ballet buccaneer story totally won over my writing group.

My autocorrect once gave me a medical knight instead of a medieval one, which somehow worked. Grace89's pirouette pirate sounds way more fun though.

Actually a pirouette is a ballet move, not a word you'd typo for pirate.
