My cheap rigging gloves fell apart mid-lift and cost me a half day

Bought a pair of 'heavy duty' gloves online for $15, and the stitching gave out while I was handling a choker on a 30-ton pick in Tacoma. Had to shut down, send the oiler for new ones, and lost about four hours of billable time. What's your go-to brand for gloves that actually last through steel work?

Damn, that's brutal. Four hours lost over some junk stitching is insane. So when the glove blew out, was it just the seam coming apart or did the whole palm tear open? Trying to figure out if it was a straight up materials failure or just the worst sewing job ever.

Check the return policy first.

Man that's the worst feeling, watching gear fail right when you need it most. Lost a whole afternoon over fifteen bucks. For steel work I've seen a lot of guys swear by those Ironclad riggers, the heavy duty ones. They cost more up front but they're built for that exact abuse. Would rather buy one solid pair than keep replacing cheap ones.
