My tall lamp was a mistake, floor lamps are where it's at

I spent 3 years with this little desk lamp that only lit my keyboard, and my corners still felt like caves. Then my buddy in Tucson pointed out how the light should bounce off the ceiling, not just the page. Swapped to a cheap floor lamp with a parchment shade last month, now the whole nook feels warmer and I actually read in there after dark. Anyone else make the tall lamp vs floor lamp switch for their reading spot?

Turns out lighting your space right fixes half the stuff you thought was wrong with it, same goes for chairs, rugs, and pretty much everything else.
