My desk lamp died mid-chapter, now I get the whole 'warm bulb' thing

Was reading in my little corner nook at 11pm last Thursday when the old bulb flickered out, leaving just the cold overhead light. Swapped in a 2700k bulb I had for the shed and suddenly my whole shelf corner felt like a hug instead of a dentist office. Anyone else notice a huge mood shift just from bulb temperature, or am I overthinking it?

Oh totally, that warm bulb makes all the difference! I think you mean 2700K is on the warm side, so that's why it felt cozy, but the "shed" part made me chuckle since that's usually where people keep the harsh daylight bulbs. Once you go warm, it's hard to go back, especially for late night reading.
