Pro tip: I zip tied a $6 twin sheet to my ceiling and my bedroom finally feels like a cave
Tried string lights, a lamp, everything, but draping that sheet across the ceiling corners with thumbtacks made the whole room feel 10 degrees warmer. It has been up for 3 weeks now and my cat is the only one who hates it. What's the weirdest cheap thing that fixed the vibe in your place?

How did you actually get the sheet to stay up there without it sagging in the middle? I tried something like this with a flat sheet from goodwill and it looked like a sad circus tent after two days. Did you run any kind of support line across the middle or just pull it tight at the corners? Also curious if you left the light fixture exposed or covered that too, because the shadows are half the battle when you're going for cave mode.
