I thought a $4 thrift store blanket was a waste, then I put it on one specific chair
I always skipped the blanket bins at thrift stores because I figured they were just scratchy old junk. But a friend in Portland sent me a photo of her reading nook and I noticed the $4 mustard yellow blanket she draped over one armchair, and she said it made the chair "the spot" everyone fought over. So I tried it on the ugly chair in my living room that nobody ever sat in, and within two days my roommate was curling up there with her tea instead of the couch. Took me maybe 30 seconds to drape it and now that corner gets used every single evening. Has anyone else noticed that one soft texture in the right spot does more than a whole new furniture set?
