Why does nobody talk about how fast crops grow in Stardew Valley in winter?
I was scrolling the wiki last night while waiting for my turnips to sprout, and I saw that winter crops actually take 7 days base, but with speed-gro and the agriculturist profession, they can mature in like 4 days. I had no idea that existed because I always just fish during winter and ignore farming completely. Has anyone else tried pushing winter crops like that or do you all just hibernate too?

You mentioned winter crops taking 4 days with speed-gro and agriculturist-I tried that last playthrough and it’s actually wild how much gold you can rack up from winter seeds if you plant them in big batches, like turning the whole greenhouse into a winter crop factory before spring hits.

Yeah that greenhouse winter seed trick is insane. I did the same thing last winter and ended up with like 30k gold by spring day 1 just from turning all those seeds into jelly and pickles. The key for me was planting them in rows on day 1 of winter and using deluxe speed-gro so they finished in 3 days instead of 4. I also kept a couple of seed makers running nonstop to turn the low-quality crops into more seeds. Ended up with a full greenhouse of winter seeds that kept cycling every few days. The profit from selling the finished goods is way better than just selling the raw crops too. Definitely doing that again next playthrough.
