My customer told me my Stardew farm looked like a mess...

She said I was just throwing buildings everywhere with no pathing or flow, and honestly she was right. I spent 3 hours last weekend laying down cobblestone paths and grouping my barns together near the pond and it feels like a completely different game now. Has anyone else had their whole layout style change because of one comment?

Oh man, I've totally been there. That "throwing buildings everywhere" part hit close to home because my farm looked exactly like that for like 2 whole years. Sometimes you just need one honest comment to see the mess you've been ignoring, and it's wild how much better the game feels when you finally organize things.

Exactly what @elizabeths51 said about needing one honest comment to see the mess. I had my farm looking like a trash pile for months until a friend finally said "dude what is going on here." Once I moved things into rows and grouped similar buildings it was like playing a whole new game. What was the first thing you organized?

Oh man, it's funny how that works. I think the first thing I organized was my workshop area because I got tired of walking across the map every time I needed a specific machine. But your point about needing someone to say something applies to so much more than just games. Like my kitchen junk drawer was a disaster for a year until my sister asked why I had three identical screwdrivers in there. Even in real life we all get so used to our own mess that we stop seeing it, whether it's a cluttered garage or a bad habit. It's like we need an outside person to hold up the mirror before we actually fix anything.
