The 6-inch monitor riser that changed my neck pain after a month of hunching

I saw a bunch of posts here about monitor height and finally measured my setup. Turns out my screen was about 4 inches too low, which explains the weird tension in my shoulders. I grabbed a cheap wooden riser from a local shop in Portland for like $15, and after 3 weeks the daily headache is just gone. Did anyone else find that the distance from your eyes to the top of the screen matters more than the height itself? Curious what measurements work for other people.

My neck and shoulders were doing the same thing before I fixed mine. I ended up measuring everything too and the eye line thing is real, I had to raise my screen almost a full 5 inches before it felt right. It took about two weeks for the tight spot between my shoulder blades to finally relax. I still check my posture sometimes and catch myself slumping back into the old angle without noticing. Glad you found the fix, it makes a bigger difference than people give it credit for.
