That $45 weighted blanket I grabbed is now a doorstop
Bought one of those heavy blankets off a flash sale site after seeing everyone rave about them... spent $45 plus shipping. First nap felt okay, but by the third use the beads all bunched up in one corner and it just felt like a weird lumpy pancake. Tried washing it like the tag said and now the filling is basically a clump in the middle. I keep it propped against my bedroom door to block the draft, which is honestly the only use it gets now. Anyone else had luck with a cheaper dupe or should I just stick to my regular quilts for fort naps? I'd rather hear what actually holds up than blow another $40.
Seems like everything that gets hyped online turns out to be cheap junk once you actually use it a few times. Weighted blankets are just the latest thing, same story as those pillowy slippers and the "unbreakable" phone cases. Stick with your quilts for forts, they last because nobody was trying to make a quick buck off them.
