Warm throws are overrated for actual napping
Had a disaster last Tuesday on my couch in St. Paul, woke up sweating through my thin cotton sheet because my girlfriend insisted on the fuzzy fleece throw. What's the point of a nap if you wake up groggy and overheated? Anyone else ditch the thick blankets for something with actual airflow?

Different take here, a good nap needs that cocoon feeling to actually knock you out. Fleece works if you keep the room cooler or just use it as a light layer, not a full burrito wrap. Maybe your girlfriend just had the thermostat cranked, that would make anyone sweat.

The thermostat thing is a fair point, but the cocoon feeling doesn't have to mean fleece. Fleece traps heat way too fast for most people, especially if you're a naturally warm sleeper like me. A good middle ground is a cotton blanket with a quilt over it, that gives you the weight without the sweat. Or just do what I do, crack a window and use the fleece as a top layer only, feet sticking out. That's the real trick right there, keeps the core warm but lets the heat escape.
