The $70 neck pillow from the airport kiosk was a total bust

Flew into Chicago last Tuesday, forgot my usual pillow at home, and panicked at the gate. Paid 70 bucks for one of those inflatable U-shaped things and it deflated by the time we hit cruising altitude. Now I keep a cheap memory foam roll in my carry-on that cost 12 bucks at Target and it works way better. Anyone else ditched the fancy travel pillows for a basic one?

Wait, isn't that the same store that sells those 20 dollar knockoffs online though? Those airport kiosks are always a scam, but at least now you got a cheap one that actually works.

Three flights ago I bought a $45 gel-filled pillow at a mall travel store, and it was like resting my head on a lukewarm pancake, completely useless. @wright.richard nailed it, those kiosks and fancy shops just bank on you being in a hurry and desperate. My ten dollar compressible roll from a drugstore has survived more red-eyes than that pricey thing ever did.
