Rant: my dog puked on my $90 sherpa throw and I froze for 10 minutes
We were 20 minutes into movie night on the couch when my beagle lost his dinner all over my favorite blanket, and I just stood there holding it at arm's length like an idiot. Cold water and a gentle cycle saved it, but now I'm paranoid about what I keep on the couch during snack time, so how do you all handle pets and your nice blankets?
Oh man I feel this. My lab did the same thing to a knit blanket my mom made, and what saved me was just keeping a cheap throw on top of the nice stuff when we're watching tv. Like I literally have a $15 fleece from the grocery store that lives on the couch now, and the good blanket stays folded on the back until the dog is done being a wild card. If he looks like he's about to hurl I can just yank the cheap one off and toss it in the wash. The fancy one only comes out when he's asleep on the floor and I know I'm safe. It's not cute but it works.
