I finally get why buckwheat pillows are worth the hype
Last month I grabbed a cheap down pillow from a big box store and woke up with a crick in my neck for three straight mornings. My wife kept telling me the buckwheat one she ordered from a small shop in Portland was the fix, but I thought it felt like sleeping on a bag of gravel. After my third morning of trying to stretch out the kink at the kitchen counter, I caved and borrowed hers for one night. That first sleep was weird, loud, and honestly a little crunchy every time I turned over. But by morning my neck felt completely normal and I realized the problem was the down pillow never gave me any real support. It took me about nine days from the first sore morning to actually admit I was wrong. Has anyone else dealt with a stubborn pillow that took way too long to ditch?

The nine day wait between first sore morning and admitting it, what was the turning point? Was it one specific night where the buckwheat worked so well you couldn't deny it, or did you just get tired of being stubborn? Asking because I've seen people give up on a pillow after one crunchy night, and they never get past that adjustment window. Also curious if you ever tried adding or removing some hulls to change the loft, that was the trick for me with mine.
