The amount of people who don't know what a 'dust test' is for hair color is wild

I had a client come in yesterday who said her last stylist just slapped on the color without checking for metallic salts. That's how you get a chemical cut or a weird green tint. How are you charging for a service and skipping the most basic safety step?

Honestly, I've never done one in ten years. If the client history is clear and the hair is in good shape, is it always needed?
